Avondale Community Action have invited those running for the Whau Local Board in the upcoming elections, (2019 and 2016) to join us at a community-led Q&A forum.
The Whau Local Board makes many decisions that affect the character and quality of our neighbourhoods – from parks and playgrounds (re)development to local events and community grant making. They allocate $20 million+ annually across the Whau area and advocate for much more budget via ‘big’ Council. Let’s get together to hear about what they will bring to the table if they are elected.
Confirmed candidates speaking on the night will be posted here. This is an Avondale-focussed, nonpartisan event.
